Work History
Jean Savage joined the Center for Tropical Research in March 2003 after working as an administrative analyst on HIV/AIDS projects in the UCLA School of Public Health for the past eight years. She has worked with many international students who were completing their degrees at UCLA. Her job history includes working as a high school and adult school teacher of English as a Second Language, and as an aerospace mechanic.
Interests
Her interest in conservation and the environment is reflected in her travels and hiking trips through the national parks of the U.S. and around the world, including trips to Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand, Switzerland, and many countries in Europe.
