On August 21st, 2009, UCLA was honored to welcome Congressman Henry Waxman (CA-30) and State Senator Fran Pavley (SD-23) for a discussion on landmark state and federal climate legislation. The forum focused on California’s role as a national leader on climate policies and the interplay between the California Global Warming Solutions Act (AB 32) and the American Clean Energy and Security Act (HR 2454), recently approved by the U.S. House of Representatives. The program featured distinguished science and policy experts who will discuss the latest climate change research and economic opportunities arising from climate policies.
