The presentation draws from empirical and economic evidence from the field and from the marketplace. The evidence provides rationale for Fair Trade, labeling and certification programs as an approach to conserving and regenerating ecological balance, natural environments, a variety of tropical forest species, in particular, and in creating sustainable livelihoods for rural people.
